
Emergency crews responded to a combine fire Wednesday evening near County Roads 325 North and 350 West in Washington. According to dispatch reports, firefighters were called to the scene around 5:05 p.m. after a combine caught fire while working in a field. Everyone was able to exit the equipment safely before it became fully engulfed. The flames spread into nearby standing corn, prompting additional manpower and tankers to be called in for support. Fire departments from Plainville and Washington Township assisted in containing the blaze. Crews remained on scene for about an hour to fully extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
