An amendment has been made to the legal notice published yesterday regarding the Daviess County Council’s upcoming meeting. The council will meet on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Daviess County Courthouse in Washington to consider additional appropriations exceeding the current year’s budget. Two new items have been added to the list of proposed appropriations under Superior Court, including Office Machines ($2,000) and Pauper Attorney ($20,000). This brings the total appropriation request to $52,873, an increase from the previously announced $30,873. As before, taxpayers are invited to attend and will have the right to be heard. Final appropriations will be submitted to the Department of Local Government Finance for review within fifteen days of council action.
