The Daviess County Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Daviess County Courthouse in Washington to review proposed additional appropriations beyond the current year’s budget. The proposed appropriations total $30,873, including funds for the Coroner’s Office ($2,500), Sheriff’s Department gasoline expenses ($5,000), Superior Court depositions and postage ($8,500 combined), and Health Department registrar costs ($3,500). Taxpayers are invited to attend and provide input. Following the meeting, the proposal will be submitted to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for final review and approval.
