A 17-year-old from Linton was arrested late Friday night for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVWI) after being stopped by Indiana State Police troopers on State Road 57 near Plainville. Troopers Beau Brumett and Nathan Teusch observed the vehicle speeding and crossing the centerline before pulling it over. The driver, who showed signs of impairment, was taken to the Daviess County Jail for a chemical test and registered a blood alcohol content of .181. The juvenile was released to a guardian following testing. Authorities remind the public that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
