Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon to a serious accident on Old U.S. Highway 50 near Washington after a vehicle fell on a man while he was working underneath it.
According to dispatch reports, responders arrived around 2:15 p.m. to find the victim pinned under the car after a jack slipped, trapping his head and torso.
First responders from Washington Township Fire Department, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, and EMS performed CPR and called for an air evacuation.
Air Evac 17 transported the patient to a hospital for advanced treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
