Tonight is the opening night of the Buffalo Trace Festival on the square in Petersburg. On tap for tonight, the Carnival rides begin at 5pm, with the parade at 5:30 and opening ceremonies at 6pm. The Pike Central High School Swing Choir will perform at 6:15pm, and The Duke Boys will entertain beginning at 7:30pm. The festival continues through Saturday, with Nashville recording artist Meghan Patrick performing Saturday night at 7:30pm.
