Washington Police Arrest Suspect in Armed Robbery Investigation

The Washington Police Department has arrested 18-year-old Issac Hardcastle in connection with an armed robbery earlier this week. Officers and detectives with the Washington Police Department and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office took Hardcastle into custody Tuesday afternoon around 2:15 p.m. outside a residence in the 1200 block of McCormick Avenue. Police say the arrest was made without incident. Hardcastle faces charges of Robbery While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, and Theft of a Firearm. Detectives say a handgun was seized during the arrest. The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit, several area law enforcement agencies, and the public. Authorities remind the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
