Street Milling to Begin Today in Washington

Milestone Paving will begin milling work on city streets starting Tuesday, October 7, with paving to follow at a later date. Drivers are asked to avoid affected areas during scheduled work hours and to refrain from parking on listed streets from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. until milling is complete. Parking will reopen once milling is finished and remain allowed until paving begins. The tentative schedule is as follows, weather permitting:

Tuesday, Oct. 7: Morton St. (Front to NW 6th), Ogden St. (Walnut to Lincoln), and Harned Ave. (Meridian to Hwy 57)

Wednesday, Oct. 8: NE 4th (Vantrees to Main), SE 4th (Main to Railroad Tracks), SE 3rd (Main to South), South St. (SE 3rd to SE 4th), and E. Main (4th to 3rd)

Thursday, Oct. 9: Mill St. (Axtel to Center), SE 14th (State to Washington), and Woodlawn (257 to end)

City officials noted the schedule may change depending on weather or unexpected conditions, with updates to be provided as needed.
