Martin County Solid Waste will host its annual Fall Clean-Up on Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 11. While both the Shoals and Loogootee sites will be open, special clean-up pricing will apply only at the Loogootee location. Rates are $20 for small trucks, $30 for full-size trucks, $40 for trailers, and $70 for trucks with trailers. Hazardous waste items such as electronics, paint, fluorescent lights, tires, refrigerators, and freezers will not be accepted at these rates. In addition, a can drive will be held both days, with aluminum cans purchased at $0.25 per pound. Participants are asked to bring cans in bags or containers for weighing.
