A Huntingburg man is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police both in his car and on foot earlier this month. Evansville Police say 23-year-old Bryant Anderson was initially stopped on Sept. 7 after he drove the wrong way and pulled onto a service road off John Street. When asked for identification, Anderson pretended to search for it before speeding off and making an obscene gesture toward the officer. Authorities say he nearly struck another vehicle while reentering John Street. On Thursday night, officers located Anderson’s car parked at Mickey’s Kingdom. When they approached him, Anderson ran but was quickly caught. Police say he briefly agreed to comply before attempting to run again. He was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving. Police noted Anderson has 30 points on his license from prior convictions, including driving while suspended and failing to maintain insurance, unusually high for his age.
