accident-1-2

Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 50 near County Road 140 West. Authorities say a gray sedan left the roadway and overturned into a cornfield, coming to rest on its top about 60 to 70 yards off the road. Firefighters reported smoke coming from the vehicle when they arrived. The driver was able to get out of the car but suffered facial injuries, including swelling and a possible broken jaw. He was taken by ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment. Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Washington City Fire, and Daviess County deputies assisted at the scene. A wrecker service later removed the vehicle.
