Daviess Community Hospital will host the Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. on its campus. The free, non-competitive event invites community members of all ages to honor loved ones lost to suicide, support one another, and raise awareness about mental health. This year’s walk will feature keynote speaker Amber Crews, PMHNP-BC, a Washington native and mental health nurse practitioner. Crews plans to share her personal journey through addiction, depression, and recovery, emphasizing the role of faith, therapy, and community support in overcoming mental health struggles. Participants can register online at givebutter.com/dchwalk to receive a commemorative t-shirt for $25 before the Sept. 12 deadline. For more information, contact Angie Steiner at (812) 254-8858.
