Two-Vehicle Crash Reported on I-69 Near Washington

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash last night on southbound I-69 near mile marker 65 in Daviess County. The call came in around 8 p.m., reporting that two vehicles had collided and gone down an embankment. Multiple agencies responded, including the Washington and Montgomery volunteer fire departments, Daviess County deputies, Indiana State Police, and EMS units. According to police reports, one driver later told officers his vehicle’s clutch failed, leading to the collision. Both drivers were evaluated on scene, and no serious injuries were reported. Emergency responders closed the right southbound lane of I-69 while the scene was cleared. The vehicles were recovered, and crews were back in service by 9:45 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.
