A Gentryville man is in custody following a shooting incident Wednesday morning. Police say around 7:40 a.m. on Sept. 3, shots were fired from a vehicle into a home in Gentryville. Two people were inside the residence, but no injuries were reported. Officers with the Santa Claus Police Department later located and detained the suspect, 47-year-old Kody R. Curtsinger, at his home. Investigators obtained a search warrant, and during the search discovered several suspected explosive devices. The Indiana State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit responded and safely disposed of them. Curtsinger is being held at the Spencer County Jail without bond, facing charges including five counts of possession of a destructive device, criminal recklessness with a firearm, and pointing a loaded firearm.
