Emergency crews responded Wednesday evening to a crash involving two tractor-trailers at the Hucks truck stop on Gateway Drive. The accident was reported just after 5 p.m. when one semi rolled into another, sparking a fuel leak that briefly ignited, producing white smoke. Firefighters from Washington Township Fire Department contained the situation while medical crews treated one person for injuries. Rescue units, police, and multiple agencies remained on scene for over an hour due to the significant fuel spill. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management and local wastewater officials were notified. The crash remains under state investigation.
