The Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival opens tonight at Ruritan Park, running September 4–7. Gate admission is $10 and includes free rides for kids. Opening night highlights include BINGO in the Community Building at 6:30 p.m. with $1,000 in prize money, and Truck & Tractor Pulls on the track beginning at 6:45 p.m. The pulls will feature multiple classes with cash payouts totaling several thousand dollars. The beer garden opens at 6 p.m., and plenty of food vendors will be on hand throughout the evening.
