U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley announced his six captain’s choices on Wednesday.
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun, two-time major champion Xander Schauffele and PGA Tour veterans Russell Henley and Harris English and Bryson DeChambeau have already qualified for the team on points. For his captain’s picks, Bradley did not opt to pick himself despite being ranked 11th overall in the U.S. Ryder Cup rankings. Instead, Bradley has selected:
-
Justin Thomas (4th appearance)
-
Ranked seventh overall in Ryder Cup standings, a proven locker-room presence.
-
-
Collin Morikawa (3rd appearance)
-
Ranked eighth overall in Ryder Cup standings, a consistent if rarely spectacular player of late.
-
-
Ben Griffin (Rookie)
-
Ranked ninth overall in Ryder Cup standings, one of the best players in the world over the last few months.
-
-
Cameron Young (Rookie)
-
