Washington Family Loses Home in Mill Street Fire, Community Rallies With Donations

A Washington family lost everything in a house fire early Sunday morning at 106 Mill Street. Fire crews responded around 1:20 a.m. to find the home fully engulfed. Multiple departments worked the scene, but the structure was destroyed. The family is now in need of clothing and household essentials. Donation sizes include:

Mom: 16/18 pants, XL shirt, women’s 7.5 shoe

Boy: 36/38 pants, XL shirt, men’s 13 shoe

Boy: 14 boys pants, youth medium shirt, men’s 8 shoe

Girl: 14 girls pants, youth large shirt, girls 8 shoe

Girl (toddler): 3T/4T clothes, toddler size 3 shoes

Donations can be dropped off tonight from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at the Washington Upper Elementary parking lot, where a red Ford truck will be parked to collect items. A box will also be available for gift cards. Community members are encouraged to help support the family as they recover from the devastating loss.
