A Vincennes woman has been arrested on attempted murder charges stemming from a stabbing that occurred last fall. Police say the incident happened during an argument at a home on Washington Avenue on Oct. 19, 2024. The suspect, 23-year-old Anitra Miller, allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived. An arrest warrant was issued in November, and Miller was taken into custody this week in Lake County before being transported back to Knox County. She is being held on a $75,000 cash bond. Miller appeared in Knox Circuit Court Wednesday for an initial hearing. A public defender was appointed, a no-contact order issued, and a jury trial set for Dec. 2.
