A late-night crash on South State Road 257 brought down power lines and temporarily knocked out traffic lights at SR 257 and Highway 50 early Monday morning. Authorities say the incident occurred just after midnight when a truck struck a utility pole, leaving wires on the vehicle. The driver remained inside until utility crews arrived but reported no injuries. Emergency responders closed the area while the line crew worked to make the scene safe. A wrecker later removed the truck, and power crews continued repairs into the early morning hours.
