The Greene County Long Term Recovery Group will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, August 12 at 4 p.m. at the Greene County Foundation office, located on the fairgrounds at 4513 West State Road 54. The volunteer group helps coordinate disaster recovery efforts, including case management, donation oversight, volunteer coordination, construction, and emotional support services. So far, 26 properties have been deemed destroyed, with 56 more sustaining major damage. Damage assessments are ongoing.
