Washington has announced their choice for the new varsity head baseball coach. Hatchet assistant coach Austin Moody will replace recently retired coach Steve Reed. Moody is a 2017 graduate of WHS where he played multiple sports and then went on to play baseball at the University of Southern Indiana.

The Indianapolis Colts’ first practice takes place today starting at 10:00 am, all players, before the first practice and as mandated by the CBA, will undergo a physical upon their arrival to be medically cleared to participate.
All eyes over the next several weeks will be on Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones competing for the starting quarterback role as the teams fate will depend greatly on an elevated play from the QB1. But key competitions are also taking place at backup running back, backup tight end and on the offensive line. Training camp practices will again take place at Grand Park in Westfield.
The Colts first preseason game is at Baltimore on Thursday, August 7th, game 2 is at home on August 16th vs Green Bay and the final preseason game is in Cincinnati on the 23rd.
The regular season kicks off on September 7th at home versus the Dolphins.
Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson did not report with the rest of the team’s veterans Tuesday. The four-time Pro Bowl selection has not participated in any team activities since the end of last season, in which he led the NFL with 17.5 sacks and was named an All-Pro selection. Hendrickson is seeking a long-term deal as he enters the final year of his current contract.
