Beginning on or around Tuesday, July 29, crews will close the southbound U.S. 41 offramp to State Road 66/Diamond Avenue in Evansville. This ramp closure will allow for crews to perform a reconstruction of southbound lanes of Fares Avenue between U.S. 41 and S.R.66/Diamond Avenue. This ramp closure is expected to take a month to complete, depending on the weather. The official detour for this closure is U.S. 41 southbound to the Lloyd Expressway ramps to U.S. 41 northbound. Local traffic and businesses will have access from S.R. 66/Diamond Avenue during this project. This closure is part of a larger project to reconstruct U.S. 41 in Evansville. Overall work on U.S. 41 reconstruction is expected to be completed by the beginning of September, weather permitting.
