
The Town of Montgomery is raising funds to turn a gravel lot in its downtown area into a public park. The lot, currently used for unmarked parking, is the only available green space downtown and is in need of revitalization. The proposed improvements include a mural, shaded seating areas, a water feature, and green space for community use. To make the project a reality, Montgomery must raise $50,000. If successful, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) will match the funds, with additional support of up to $5,000 available through AARP Indiana. The effort is part of the CreatINg Livable Communities Partnership, aimed at enhancing quality of life in rural Indiana. To donate mail contributions to:
