A two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning claimed the life of a Washington woman and sent another to the hospital with injuries. The accident occurred at 4:57 a.m. on July 1 at the intersection of US 50 Bypass and County Road 150 S (Sunnyside Road). According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Judy Farren was driving a 2017 Kia southbound on 150 S when she pulled into the path of a westbound 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by 30-year-old Christiana Valantin, also of Washington. Both drivers were taken to Daviess Community Hospital, where Farren was pronounced dead. Valantin reported chest and leg pain. Emergency crews from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Daviess Community Hospital Ambulance, and Washington Police and Fire assisted at the scene.
