The Daviess County Coroner’s Office has received a $900 Fast Grant from Our Community Foundation to purchase laptops and supplies. The new equipment will support Beyond the Call, the office’s public outreach initiative, by improving case documentation and developing grief support and prevention materials. Dr. Tyler Council said the laptops will help the office create presentations on overdose, suicide, and youth safety, and produce resources for families coping with loss. Until now, staff have used personal devices for this work due to limited county funding. The grant is part of Our Community Foundation’s effort to support small, impactful projects in Daviess County.
