A 16-year-old boy was killed Saturday evening after a truck fell on him while he was working on it at a residence on W 300 N in Washington. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says Cooper Schuckman was pinned under a Ford F-350 around 9:11 p.m. The vehicle was jacked up on two air jacks that were on blocks and one floor jack. As they were attempting to remove a part off the vehicle, the weight shifted and the vehicle fell off the jacks and onto Cooper. A nearby forklift was used to lift the truck, but Schuckman was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been working on the truck with a friend at the time of the incident. Emergency crews, including the Washington Township Fire Department and the Daviess County Coroner, assisted at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
