Daviess Community Hospital will host a public dedication ceremony for the new Dr. Suresh Lohano Memorial Garden on Wednesday, June 11 at 4 p.m. The garden, located near the Same Day Surgery entrance, was created in honor of Dr. Lohano’s lasting impact on the community. The outdoor event will include a blessing of the space and free ice cream from Scoops, featuring Dr. Lohano’s favorite flavor, Mango Tango. Made possible by a $40,000 grant from the Community Foundation through the TrueScripts Foundation Fund, the garden offers a quiet place for reflection, complete with a commemorative plaque, floral landscaping, and seating. Dr. Lohano’s family will attend the ceremony, and the public is encouraged to join in remembering his legacy of compassion and care.
