The eatery, known for its homestyle meals, will remain open through Sunday.
In a statement, the family cited rising inflation, the increasing cost of ingredients, and shifts in the food service landscape as the reasons for closing.
They hope to possibly reopen in a new location, though no plans have been finalized.
The famous restaurant has served the area for 80 years.
