The City of Vincennes is now accepting entries for its annual Independence Day Parade, set for Friday, July 4, at 6:00 p.m., rain or shine. This year’s theme is “Freedom & Fireworks: Light Up the Night.” Parade organizers are inviting local organizations, businesses, and community members to submit their entries by noon on Friday, June 27. All entries must be decorated in patriotic style, and flags must be displayed properly. Alcohol is strictly prohibited, and any intoxicated participants will be removed from the event. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.vincennes.org or picked up from the Mayor’s Office. Completed forms may be returned by email to smccrary@vincennes.in.gov or mailed to 201 Vigo Street, Vincennes, IN 47591. Lineup details will be emailed to participants and shared via the City of Vincennes app and the Mayor’s Office Facebook page.
