A deadly shooting in rural Gibson County has left three people dead and one person in custody, according to officials. The incident occurred Thursday evening on South Scottsdale Drive near Haubstadt. Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven reported that a 911 call came in at 8:31 p.m. from inside the residence, with one victim stating they had been shot in the face. When deputies arrived, the suspected shooter surrendered at the scene and was taken into custody. The suspect’s identity has not been released. Authorities confirmed that four individuals were shot, and three were pronounced dead. A medical helicopter was dispatched, and multiple emergency agencies responded. Four uninjured individuals who witnessed the shooting were also located at the scene. Sheriff Vanoven emphasized that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
