A Washington man is facing multiple felony charges after being arrested by the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit for allegedly distributing and possessing child pornography. Chad C. Cooper, 42, was taken into custody on Wednesday, May 28, following a search warrant at his residence. The investigation began in March 2025, led by ISP Detective Robert Whyte. Using a range of forensic tools and investigative methods, authorities identified Cooper as a suspect and obtained a search warrant. During the search, law enforcement officers seized electronic devices containing child pornography. Cooper was arrested without incident and booked into the Daviess County Jail.
He faces the following charges:
Three counts of Distribution of Child Pornography (Under Age 12), Level 4 Felony
Two counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Under Age 12), Level 5 Felony
