Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI) is offering free summer soldering certification training for high school students and military-affiliated adults. The hands-on training will take place at the Microelectronics Training Hub at WestGate@Crane Technology Park. High schoolers can attend the Soldering Camp from June 23–27, while military members, veterans, and their spouses are invited to a separate session from July 21–25. Participants will earn the IPC J-STD-001 certification, an industry-recognized credential that opens doors to careers in microelectronics, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. Each program is limited to 10 spots and registration is first-come, first-served. For more details, visit the Regional Opportunity Initiatives Facebook page.
