Celebrate National Trails Day with a free “Hike & Learn” event on June 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Jasper Farmer’s Market, located at 100 Third Ave. Hosted by the Patoka Lake Watershed Steering Committee and its partners, the event will feature interactive booths, educational giveaways, and guided nature hikes.
Guided hikes along the paved Riverwalk Trail include:
8:30 a.m. – Birding the Riverwalk with Marion Mason (Hoosier National Forest)
9:30 a.m. – River’s Edge Ramble with Carla Striegel-Winner (Dubois County Solid Waste)
10:30 a.m. – Raindrop to River with Chad Mundy (Jasper Stormwater Department)
