Johnny Mack Brown, 64, of Velpen, was arrested Friday, May 9, and charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony, following a Pike County investigation involving a confidential informant and covert surveillance. According to court documents, Brown allegedly delivered a small amount of methamphetamine to the informant, leading to a search warrant and the discovery of 2.9 grams of suspected meth at his home. He now also faces a Possession of Methamphetamine charge. Brown was previously out on a $75,000 bond for a 2024 Level 2 felony meth dealing charge. A judge has now set his new bond at $100,000 cash only. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
