The 20th Century Chevy, Inc. Car Club of Washington has announced the recipients of its annual scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year. Each year, the club awards scholarships to support students from Daviess and surrounding counties who are pursuing post-secondary education in automotive-related technical or engineering fields. This year, two $2,000 scholarships have been awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the automotive industry.
Recipients include:
Jacob Phipps of Edwardsport, a graduate of North Knox High School, plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Evansville.
Wade Walton of Loogootee, a graduate of Loogootee High School, will attend the University of Southern Indiana, also majoring in mechanical engineering.
Both students were praised for their academic performance, extracurricular interests, and dedication to part-time work. The club congratulates them and wishes them success in their future careers.
