The Frank Roberts Youth League in Odon is kicking off a major fundraising effort to improve and expand its baseball and softball facilities. The league has been approved for a $50,000 matching grant through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s “Creating Places” program. If the community can raise $50,000 by July 1, the state will match it—doubling the investment to $100,000. League leader Roger Callahan says the funds will go toward upgrading aging lights, improving accessibility, enhancing fan experiences with new bleachers, and revitalizing fields.  The league currently serves 372 kids across 40 teams and relies on more than 100 volunteers. With seven fields adjacent to Odon City Park, the facility also hosts regional tournaments and brings in visitors from across the area. To donate or learn more, visit patronicity.com/FRYLNextLevel or find the Frank Roberts Youth League on Facebook. Every dollar helps toward the $50,000 goal needed to unlock state matching funds.
