Marilyn Ann McPherson, 60, of Loogootee, Indiana peacefully left this world on Thursday May 1, 2025, to join our Lord and Savior in Heaven.
She was born on May 3, 1964, in Washington, Indiana to Raymond Lynn Allegree and Maxine (Terry) Hogrefe.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She liked watching the birds and squirrels play outside. Marilyn married John McPherson on May 16, 1996. She loved taking Sunday cruises with her husband John, traveling, and being outdoors. Marilyn loved her family and always put them first. She will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Allegree and Maxine Hogrefe, her grandparents who helped raise her- George and Glendora Allegree. her father, George Hogrefe, and stepmother, Rita Hogrefe.
Marilyn is survived by her husband John McPherson, her father, George Hogrefe, and stepmother, Rita Hogrefe. her sons; Loren Harrison, Donovan (Brittney) McPherson, her grandson, Noah, her siblings, Lisa (Roger) Henry, Tabatha (Ryan) Earley, Melanie Hogrefe, her mother-in-law, Barbara Thomas, her brothers-in-laws, Weldon McPherson, Jimmy McPherson, sisters-in-law, Twila McPherson, Bonnie McPherson, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2025, at 11:00 A.M at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church with Rev. Caleb Moffatt to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may visit on Monday May 5, 2025, from 3:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Online condolences can be made at www.blakefuneralhomes.com
