The Loogootee Lions have a new head basketball coach but from a familiar source. Barr-Reeve head coach Josh Thompson is taking over the helm for the Lions. After weeks of rumors the Loogooteee School Board will make it official today in naming Thompson their choice to take over for Dave Smith.

Thompson will be the seventh Loogootee coach since Jack Butcher retired after the 2001-2002 season.
