Congratulations to Washington Catholic 6th grader Ava Talbert for being the state champion in her division at the KofC state free throw shooting competition. Ava sank 19 of 25 15 footers to win the title.
Men’s NCAA TOURNAMENT
Number 1 overall seed is the Auburn Tigers. Other number 1 seeds are the Duke Blue Devils, the Houston Cougars and the Florida Gators. Purdue is a 4 seed and will face High Point who is making their first tournament appearance. The 19 and 13 Indiana Hoosiers were left out of the tournament field.
Women’s NCAA TOURNAMENT
Number 1 overall seed is the UCLA Bruins
Other number 1 seeds are South Carolina, Texas, and USC
The Indiana Hoosiers are a 9 seed and will face #8 Utah on Friday.

The PGA PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP saw a 4 hour rain delay at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, FL. Because of darkness we will have a 3 hole aggregate playoff today between Rory Mclroy and JJ Spaun to decide the championship as both players were tied at -12.
