Senate District 39 Communities Receive Over $7.5 Million for Road Improvements

More than $7.5 million in Community Crossings Matching Grant Program (CCMG) funds will support road and bridge improvements across Senate District 39, State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) announced. The CCMG, established in 2016, has provided over $2 billion in state matching funds for local infrastructure projects, helping communities strengthen transportation networks and improve road conditions.

The latest round of funding for Senate District 39 includes:

Daviess County – $1,120,970.25

Knox County – $1.5 million

Martin County – $1,106,930.25

Merom – $24,842.42

Newberry – $102,000

Oaktown – $82,200.57

Owen County – $1.5 million

Shoals – $271,411.50

Sullivan County – $1.5 million

Washington – $260,753.75

Wheatland – $74,999.58

Through the CCMG, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) provides matching funds of up to $1.5 million annually for local governments. The match rate varies based on population, with smaller counties and towns receiving a 75%/25% match, while larger municipalities receive a 50%/50% match.
