DNR Reports Increase of Bird Flu at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is tracking cases of Bird Flu.  DNR agents have reported an increase of cases of avian influenza at the Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area in Greene County.  The DNR says that visitors to the area may notice sick and dead sandhill cranes and snow geese.  The DNR estimates that more than 1,500 sandhill cranes have died from bird flu this winter.
