Vincennes, IN – The next phase of the Washington Avenue road project in Vincennes is set to commence in January. Beginning around January 4, Washington Avenue will be closed from Kelso Creek to Niblack Boulevard. Later in the month, the closure will extend from Niblack to Emison Avenue. The project includes the installation of new storm drains, lights, and sidewalks. The main entrance to Gregg Park off of Washington Avenue will be completely closed off. The public will need to use the Niblack Entrance and Exit to access the park. The Washington Avenue project is slated for completion by 2027.
