Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier reported a significant discovery on Sunday evening. While showing a property to potential buyers in rural Rockville, a local realtor spotted a 2007 Ford Focus that matched the description of Betty Jane Capps’ missing vehicle. It was found about 200 yards off the road, down an embankment. Alongside the vehicle, human remains were also discovered. A statewide Silver Alert had been issued for Betty Jane Capps back in July when she was last seen in Mecca, Indiana, on June 29. At present, authorities have not yet identified the human remains found on Sunday.
