Washington Crews Head to Florida to Assist with Hurricane Ian

Currently, Florida has more than 500 mutual aid line resources from 18 states committed to assisting with restoration efforts and are continuing to work on securing additional resources.
Indiana is one of the 18 states committed to assisting with restoration efforts. IMEA Member crews departed yesterday and this morning. All will be staged in Troy Alabama as of Thursday, September 29th and at this time, reporting to Tallahassee Friday morning. There is potentially a re-deployment to head more South depending on the track of the storm. Twenty-three IMEA Member Utility Personnel will be assisting from Indiana. Rensselaer Municipal Utility, Scottsburg Utility, Lawrenceburg Municipal Utility, Washington Municipal Light and Power, Mishawaka Utility, Logansport Municipal Utility and Lebanon Utility.
