A special ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for this morning at the former Washington Junior High Library for the new Design and Innovation Lab at Washington Junior / Senior High. The new lab will give students at Washington Community Schools access to robots, 3-D printers, and other cutting-edge technology of the future. The new studio is a partnership with VU, Purdue, and Toyota Manufacturing, among others, to give students new ways to explore design-thinking, problem-solving, technology, and creative skill sets. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is at 9:30am this morning in the high school library.
