General Assembly to Begin Work on New Abortion Legislation

indiana-3

The special session of the General Assembly called by Governor Eric Holcomb for July 6th is now two-fold.

First, lawmakers plan to tackle what was originally planned to be addressed, which is a plan to send back more of your state tax dollars as part of an “inflationary relief” plan proposed by Holcomb.

Democratic State Rep. Greg Porter is still holding out hope that Republicans will at least be open to talking about suspending the state’s gas tax as well.

However, the governor also says they plan to start work on new abortion legislation as well given last weeks Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade.
