The Daviess County Council approved a $250,000 request from the town of Montgomery on Wednesday.
The request was to help cover the $400,000 in design fees for the Montgomery Sewer Project.
The Daviess County EDC and the Town of Montgomery will cover the rest of the design cost.
The project is being pushed by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management as the system is outdated and needing replaced.
Housing and economic expansion in Montgomery has been put on hold until the project is complete.
The project will be funded through matching USDA grants and other loans.
The $250,000 was approved through Daviess County’s ARPA funds.
