State police are looking for the suspect who ditched a stolen semi hauling 20,000 lbs of batteries.
The suspect ditched the stolen semi on Friday afternoon after taking it from Gibson County to Vanderburgh County.
45 minutes later, the semi was found by state police.
After searching for the suspect in a wooded area with multiple K9 units, officers called off the search.
It is believed the suspect was picked up by another vehicle.
Authorities believe this theft is part of a series of semi thefts taking place in multiple states.
