The Primary Election on May 3 is just a little more than a month away. In-person early voting will begin throughout Indiana beginning onTuesday, April 5, and will continue through noon on May 2. For questions about early voting, contact the County Clerk’s office in the county in which you live.
Remember, to vote, you need to be 18 years of age by the date of the General Election on November 8. You must also be registered. The deadline to register to vote is noon on April 4.
And Knox County is getting ready to move to the Voter Center System beginning with Indiana’s May Primary Election.
In the Voter Center System voters are not required to vote in their “home” precinct. Instead, any citizen registered to vote in a county can cast a ballot at any vote center in the county.
Beginning with this year’s primary, Knox County has scrapped its precinct voting locations in favor of 13 vote centers located throughout Knox County.
There will be at least four vote enters in Vincennes, and at least one vote center in Bicknell, Bruceville, and Oaktown, with other locations yet to be named.
